Think the marijuana prohibition laws in the US are stupid? Well don’t forget they also banned its sister plant hemp just cause they look the same. Every 6th grader in the world knows that you can’t smoke hemp clothing. Yet the myth continues on. Thank Woody for being a voice of reason in an otherwise completely irrational country.
Hemp for Victory

Hemp For Victory is a World War II public education film made by the United States government which encourages farmers to grow industrial hemp for the war effort. For anyone not familiar with this part of cannabis history it’s a definite must-see.
It’s quite bizarre to see the US government enthusiastically promoting hemp only a few years after spending vast resources on demonizing the plant and making it illegal in the 1930s.
