A common argument made by prohibitionists is that if marijuana were made legal there would be a sharp increase in traffic fatalities. What you are watching is the first ever test on the effects of smoking cannabis and driving. I am not saying that getting ripped and driving is a good idea. It’s not. However the statistics linking marijuana and driving are totally bogus because marijuana stays in your system for up to a month. Therefore the tests are showing trace amounts of THC which don’t effect reaction time in any way.
