Kevin Sabet : Portrait of a modern day prohibitionist
Kevin Sabot may want many to believe that he is leading the charge against the supposed “green menace” out of the goodness of his heart. But luckily for him, he also gets paid quite well to advocate against marijuana. A man named Russ Belville lead a crown funded initiative to find out just how much Kevin Sabot got paid to take on the herb, and the results were astonishing. You see, Sabet was paid to do an anti marijuana “educational” tour. Sounds like typical War on Drugs nonsense right? Well, perhaps at face value it’s just a case of another politician using the tax payers money to line his pockets. But what was unsettling about this instance was that this tour only happened when marijuana legalization was on the ballot. And the public dollars aren’t supposed to be used to push any political agenda. That’s not what a democracy is, and apparently it seems to me that people like Kevin Sabot just don’t seem to care.
