How to dry marijuana fast
So you’ve chopped down your plants and your looking for ways to dry out your marijuana fast. Well, I’m here to tell you that “drying” marijuana is not the only thing that you should be concerned with. The process is actually called “curing” and knowing how to do it properly will ensure that your smoke isn’t harsh and your buds will be nice and taste.
Things you’ll need.
Moist weed
Dental floss
Tape
Air tight jars (Mason jars are preferable)
The first thing you’re going to want to do is to hang up the weed by the stem. Put the dental floss around the stem and then use the tape to stick it to something. You don’t want your buds toching the wall, they should be free on all sides. The weed can take days to dry like this. The bigger the buds, the longer and more care needs to be taken during the drying process. To speed things up you can cut your buds into smaller pieces. The smaller the pieces, the faster they will dry out. Do not put your marijuana in the oven or the microwave. You’ll burn off the THC and just have dry plant matter that when smoked won’t even get you buzzed. You’re going to have to wait. If you really want to try your bud just try it! Get a bong and blaze it! It’s not going to taste very good because there’s still a lot of chlorophyll left in it, and the smoke will be harsh, but you’ll still be able to catch a buzz from it.
So, anyway. After you’ve hung your buds upside down for a few days. You’re going to want to try and snap the stem. The stems shouldn’t completely snap, but you should feel that they aren’t too gummy feeling. Once the sugar leaves on your buds and the outside of them start getting them dry it’s time to put them in the mason jars. Leave the buds overnight and check them in the morning. You’ll notice that they’ve all got a bit moister. That’s because the last bits of moisture is found on the inside of the buds. So while the outside is dry, the inside is still a bit moist. So once every few days just inspect your buds and make sure there isn’t any mold growing on them. Some people even leave the jars open overnight, and then cap them again in the morning.
By utlizing these methods you can ensure that you dry out your marijuana, and also cure the plant so you get the best flavor and smoothest smoke. Enjoy!
