Robbie Williams says he loved smoking cannabis - but had to stop because the drug made him fat.

Apparently Williams would get a mad case of the munchies after taking loads of bong hits. More proof that Medical Marijuana actually works :) No need to do any more tests to see if marijuana increases appetite among chemo patients. Just ask Robbie Williams! lol

Williams, 36, who still considers himself an alcoholic has widely decried alcohol as something that ruined his life. However he recently referred to cannabis as a “lovely drug” which unfortunately didn’t “mix well with me”. Didn’t mix with what? You eating an entire box of twinkies at 3 am? Chub Rock

Williams went on to further talk about his “year of the munchies” and stated “Did you see me last year? Have a look at last year. Yep. Year of the Munchie 2009.”

“Weed, it’s such a lovely drug. It is such a lovely drug. But it doesn’t mix well with me - at all.”

“It doesn’t take much to trigger - I mean, I’ll get psychosis from having this cup of tea!”

“Seriously. The caffeine in that’s enough. Yeah. A cup of tea will make me feel like shit.”

“But it’s just a shame about weed, because I did love it.”

Here’s a hint Robbie. Put down the twinkies, not the bong! And you won’t get FAT!

Prohibitionists and Anti-Drug government funded bureaucrats threw around their fake rage and sound bites as usual talking about how it was a travesty that a role model like Williams would say that marijuana was a “wonderful, lovely drug”. You can see one of these idiot sycophants at the end of this video. Touting the usual bullshit about how marijuana use leads to psychosis (something which has been recently completely debunked by the scientific community)

Ironically enough Williams was sent into rehab not for use of marijuana but instead of PRESCRIPTION drugs which he had become addicted to. So let me get this right. This story is about how marijuana made robbie williams get fat, and then they talk about how this is terrible. Meanwhile, the man is addicted to prescription drugs and there isn’t even a mention of them. Why not make a piece about how Valium or OxyContin ruins people’s lives? Perhaps they refuse because pharmaceutical companies or some of the biggest advertisers on television. How about making a segment about how McDonalds, and High Fructose Corn Syrup make you fat? Oh no, can’t say anything bad about junk food or soft drinks, don’t want to upset the advertisers. it’s the weed. yep. Weed makes you fat. lol

Bunch of fucking morons.

Well, for any of those who voted for Obama. The honeymoon is officially over. Done. The man who only four years ago advocated for a change to the disasterous policy of the failed war on drugs has now alienated an entire voting demographic. See, to me, marijuana isn’t the most important issue. It’s not like I am going to oppose everything Obama proposes just because he has flip flopped on marijuana. Certainly there are more pressing problems facing America today. However, this seems to be a symptom which is hard to ignore.

We must remember that it was the Obama team’s idea to create an online platform which would let everyday citizens vote on issues (Basically taken from Digg.coms model). And the top two (by a wide margin) were ending the drug war, and the legalization of marijuana. He said it himself. 3.5 million people voted for what they believed in, and the vast majority voted on these two issues. Now, as I’ve stated before, it’s always a bad idea to ask the internet anything as we are a group of atheistic, porn selling/consuming/downloading drug users. Ask the internet any question and Libertarian issues always seem to win for whatever reason (why do you think Ron Paul became an online celebrity). However, it is nonetheless disconcerting that Obama would chose to make light of a subject which was highlighted by those who participated in a platform created by his own team.

I myself voted on Change.Org for marijuana decriminalization and “An end to the Drug War”. I think each participant got five votes, and I used some others on Solar power, beaver dams (may their tails always be free) and an end to all laws which would regulate pasties at strip clubs. (sorry, just trying to lighten things up)

Anyway, my point is this. If he is willing to betray his online base this early on, how can we trust him in the future. This is, after all, a man who stood up for Bush’s warrantless wiretapping. A man who pledged to get the US out of Iraq (but instead has chosen to extend their deployment, and move loads more of American soldiers into Afghanistan.) If this is the beginning, what else can we believe from this man? Obama ran on the idea that he was a different type of politician who would not fall into partisan games, yet, since he has taken office we have seen a relentless attempt to hold on to the status quo. Is this Change We Can Believe In? It seems that Obama has forgotten that once an individual is branded a liar it is hard to “Believe” any other word that comes out of their mouth. Obviously the alternatives to Obama were frightening, and he was definitely the lesser of two evils, however at this point I can know longer say I “Believe” a word he says. Sorry. Power seems to corrupt all those who touch it. And that’s why I think we need to elect a Hobbit :)

Here’s the old Obama if you want to take a trip down memory lane….

Tell Obama what you think of him by going here. But don’t talk any crazy shit! This is a government site and your IP will most surely be recorded! Link

So, making fun of medical marijuana patients is definitely not cool. But goddam this chorus is fucking sick. It’s a Bird it’s a plane it’s montel chilliams! For those of you who don’t know Montel Williams uses medical marijuana to alleviate symptoms associated with multiple sclerosis and is a strong advocate for medical marijuana.

It seems that since this video has been posted there’s been a massive restructuring in order to make it less accessible to those who wish to vote up the issues they care about. Unfortunate, but it continues the trend of online polls asking about legalization. 95% currently were in favor of Legalization in a recent CNN poll, and around the same numbers in a recent Aol.Com poll. While I agree that there are many other pressing problems facing the country, the legalization of marijuana would still be an extremely easy step to take to curb violence and increase tax revenues at the same time.
