The Stoner Movie is a very distinct genre of film which generally has the role of cannabis and marijuana smoking as a key element in the plot. Marijuana is generally portrayed in a positive light, and plays an integral role in the film. For this list we here at Endo.tv tried to compile the top marijuana movies which could be classified as stoner films. This is not to be confused with our previous list of films which merely included marijuana smoking. For instance, a film like Jackie Brown has a few scenes where marijuana is being smoked, but that doesn’t necessarily make it a stoner film, since weed isn’t really an integral part of the plot. Stoner Films have increased and experienced a bit of a rebirth in the 90’s as marijuana smoking became more mainstream.
